Like many of us these days, I’ve had multiple careers. I spent many years as a lecturer (in accounting) and manager in the UK, Asia and Australia but I was always more interested in people than accounting. I loved the aspects of my roles that allowed me to support and mentor students and employees and so I decided to pursue my passion and undertake a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I’m now in a place where all my qualifications and experience have come together in roles which I love.

For most of my week I’m the unit coordinator for the Professional Field Placement unit on an online Masters in Counselling at a university in Western Australia. It’s a real joy to be able to support people starting out in their counselling career and who are passionate about making the world a better place.
